CALLING ALL PHOTOGRAPHERS!

The Gary R. Libby Gallery at the News Journal Center, in conjunction with the
Southeast Museum of Photography, is pleased to announce a community Open Call exhibition for Spring 2024. See below for details!

ABOUT The Art of THe Everyday

“The Art of the Everyday” will be a curated exhibit opening in late April in the Gary R. Libby Gallery (opening date TBA), meant to highlight the extraordinary within the ordinary.

Curated by Daytona State College student and Gary R. Libby 2024 Curatorial Internship recipient Ashton Guitard, The Art of the Everyday aims to showcase unique and captivating moments hidden beneath the mundane details of the day-to-day. We ask our community to submit work that shines light on those details and brings into focus the individual moments of beauty in normalcy. From daily commutes, to morning and evening routines, to spending time with loved ones, every person’s routine and lifestyle can offer exceptional examples of the art that can be found throughout everyday life.
